Teen Segment 1

In order for your teen to be eligible for Driver Education in the Muskegon, Grandville, Ludington, Ravenna, or Kalamazoo/Portage area, he or she must be a minimum age of 14 years and 8 months to register and be ready to complete 26 hours of classroom instruction, 6 hours of driving, and 4 hours of observation. Depending on the location and time of year, 2 hours of driving could be on the range. The written exam consists of 80 multiple choice questions, and which each student must pass with a score of 70% or better.

Upon completion of Segment I, the student will receive a certificate to obtain a Level I License from the Secretary of State.
